Michelle Dee, in an interview with GMA's 24 Oras, revealed that she cried backstage when she learned that she did not make it to the Top 5.

She also became-teary eyed as she narrated how she apologized to the important personas in her life.

"Admittedly, dumerecho ako sa banyo, medyo naiyak talaga ako. I knew I had to go back out on stage. Because we're sportsman like that. Yun nga medyo naiyak talaga ako, out of frustration. I went after my cubicle, and that's when I saw the screenshot na, uh, medyo nakakagulo sa utak, na siyempre parang, 'What is this?' But essentially, you know, we don't live in a perfect world, things happen for a reason...Everything that has happened, happens for a reason."

Michelle Marquez Dee is a beauty queen who rose to fame after winning the Miss Universe Philippines 2023 pageant. She represented the Philippines at the 72nd Miss Universe pageant in El Salvador. Michelle’s mother is actress and former beauty queen Melanie Marquez.

In a recent update, which was shared on social media, Michelle again received praises for bringing pride once again to the Philippines. The Filipina beauty queen won the Best National Costume award in the Miss Universe 2023. She received the most number of votes on the Choicely app. At the pageant, Michelle wore an Air Force-inspired costume that was a hit for the audience.
