Popular Filipino personality Kris Aquino took to Instagram to provide a reassuring health update while undergoing medical treatments in the United States. In her post, Kris expressed gratitude for the overwhelming support and shared significant progress in her health journey.
"Maraming salamat po, against all odds I am slowly getting better, and by God's grace, my autoimmune thyroiditis has gone into remission," Kris wrote. She continued, "And also because my doctors caught it early enough, my 5th autoimmune, the mixed connective tissue disease which was strongly pointing towards RA (rheumatoid arthritis) or SLE (lupus) in my latest panel, seems to not be a present threat."
From initially battling five autoimmune conditions, Kris joyfully reported that she is now contending with three, attributing this positive development to early intervention and the effectiveness of her ongoing treatments. However, she emphasized that one of these remaining conditions poses a significant threat to her life.
"From 5, I'm now just battling 3, BUT 1 of them is the main contrabida because it's life-threatening," Kris shared. Despite facing challenges, she expressed gratitude for the prayers and support she has received, affirming, "THANK YOU for your prayers. God really is listening."
