Ogie Diaz, in a recent episode of “Ogie Diaz Showbiz Update,” expressed his opinion on the post of Xian Lim about how people should be more circumspect about the news they read or hear.
It can be recalled that rumors have been floating about Xian and real-life sweetheart, Kim Chiu, parting ways.
Xian, perhaps in his way of countering such talks, made a long post on Instagram where he asked people to be “mindful” of what they share and to leave his “family and friends out of this insignificant issue.”
While Ogie, in his opinion, accepted and respected what Xian said in his post, he also gave his own take on celebrities with real-life relationships.

He said that such celebrities “owe it to their fans” to at least explain the real status and give them assurances that rumors like that aren’t true.
For Ogie, there are only three words that celebrities who are involved in similar controversies need to say in order to assure their fans.
“Tatlong salita ang kailangan na sabihin at ibigay na assurance sa mga fans ninyo, yung mga nagmamahal sa inyo, sa mga nalulungkot sa balita, sa mga nagugulumihanan sa balita, at sa mga gutom sa kasagutan ng kanilang mga idolo,” the showbiz reporter said.
“Tatlong salita. Kami pa rin. Matatahimik na ang mga fans,” Ogie said.
Ogie Diaz is an actor, comedian, entertainment reporter, and talent manager. He was known as “Pekto” in the popular TV sitcom, “Palibhasa Lalaki.” He is also behind the YouTube channel “Ogie Diaz Showbiz Update.” He became a successful talent manager and once handled the careers of Vice Ganda and Liza Soberano.
Ogie has also issued a statement about the unconfirmed and controversial news he shared about Daniel Padilla, Kathryn Bernardo, and Andrea Brillantes. It can be recalled that Ogie was subjected to massive bashing and was accused of being a fake news peddler because of his report. In his statement, he clarified that he's not the source of the rumors and like many, he hopes that the rumors aren't true. He then expressed belief that it would still be Kathryn and Daniel until the end and like any relationship, they may just be going through something right now.
Recently, he also expressed his sentiment over the grant of the petition for bail of former Sen. Leila De Lima. The comedian and manager said that there are many "echoserong frog na politician." He also highlighted that the abovementioned politicians are saying that they are happy with what happened to De Lima. He then said that at the time that De Lima was detained, there should have been an effort coming from "you."
