Actress Lovely Abella took to social media to express her heartbreak over the death of her celebrity friend, comedian Joey Paras.

Lovely shared that after learning about the tragic news, she had a dream involving Joey, with the two of them conversing about going to his wake together.

“Nakita ko ang post ng wake and interment ni mama joey kanina bago ako makatulog, dahil ako ang nagbabantay ng anak ko sa madaling araw kaya umaga ang tulog ko.

“Nagkita daw kami somewhere at ang sabi niya sakin.

“J : Gaaaaaaaaaaa totoo bang patay na ako?

”Hindi siya malungkot, yung face niya maaliwalas, kung paano kami nagkikita sa sunday pinasaya

“L: oo ma, pupuntahan natin ngayon kung saan ka nakaburol, sobrang ganda ma matutuwa ka kasi napapaligiran ka ng flowers.

”Pagdating namin.

“J: Oo nga Gaaa ang gandaaaa

“L: darating mga bisita mo mamaya kung may gusto kang ipasabi, sabihin mo sakin ako magsasabi saknila.

“Tapos nagising ako, sinabi ko sa asawa ko na napanaginipan ko si mama joey, sabi niya pakinggan mo kung ano ang sasabihin,” Lovely shared.

Lovely also opened up about her experience working with Joey, who was always generous in helping her perform at her best.

“Grabe nalungkot ang puso ko, dahil isa siya sa nakatrabaho ko na napakabait at hindi pinagdadamot ang talentong pinagkaloob saknya ni Lord, lagi niya ako tinutulugan at lagi ako nagpapatulong saknya kung paano ang tamang atake ng ibang eksena ko sa sunday pinasaya.

“Hindi ko alam kung ano ang ibig sabihin ng panaginip ko, pero isa lang ang nakita ko saknya, ramdam ko na bago siya nawala nasurrender niya ang sarili niya kay LORD kaya hindi masakit para saknya o walang pagsisisi akong narinig mula skanya,” she said.

Furthermore, Lovely reflected on the shortness of life, and the importance of caring for one’s body and financially preparing for future emergencies.

“Ang bilis ng buhay, at alam ko na pinapakita lang ni mama joey sa sitwasyon na to, na kailangan nating ingatan ang buhay na binigay sa atin, wag nating abusuhin ang katawan natin kahit alam nating kaya pa, magipon tayo habang kumikita at may trabaho pa, para kahit papano handa tayo sa mga mangayyari,” Lovely wrote.

Joey Paras was a Filipino actor, director, singer, writer, producer and host. He became known for his lead role in the movie “Last Supper Number 3.” Joey also starred in the movie “Bekikang: Ang Nanay Kong Beki,” which also starred Tom Rodriguez.

According to his niece Zciara Shyne Sinchon-Fabian's Facebook post, Joey died on Sunday, October 29 at 5:40 p.m. In the heartbreaking announcement, Zciara Shyne underscored that her Tito Joey’s heart “wasn’t able to recover anymore.” She also appealed for financial assistance for them to settle Joey’s hospital bills. Furthermore, the late comedian’s niece said funeral arrangements will be announced soon. In 2020, it was reported that Joey was confined at the hospital due to a severe heart condition.

Candy Pangilinan, who is mourning the death of Joey Paras, published a heart-rending post. In an Instagram post, Candy shared a lovely photo of her with the late comedian-director. In the caption, the celebrity mom wrote a heartfelt message to her deceased friend. She told Joey to say hello to their other late loved ones like director Wenn Deramas and Chokoleit. "Rest in peace my friend. My prayers are with you. You fought well," she also told Joey.
