Mike was laid at his final resting place on Sunday, Sept. 3, 2023.

Tears were shed among family members and friends, who made sure that they were present in bidding their loved one goodbye.

The veteran broadcaster was laid to rest at the Loyola Memorial Park in Marikina City.

Mike Enriquez, or Miguel Castro Enriquez in real life, was a multi-awarded Pinoy television and radio newscaster. He was the president of GMA Network’s regional and radio subsidiary, RGMA Network Inc., and was also the Station Manager of Super Radyo DZBB 594 AM. Mike was also a regular anchor on 24 Oras with Mel Tiangco and Vicky Morales. Many remembered him to be a very down to earth kind of person. He was well-loved and very much respected by his colleagues in the industry from both GMA and ABS-CBN.

Jessica Soho personally offered her condolences to Mike Enriquez’s family. She was among the media personalities who attended the first day of Mike’s wake. The late veteran broadcast journalist’s wake started Thursday, August 31. On social media, GMA Integrated News shared a photo of Jessica at the wake.

Bernadette Sembrano paid tribute to Mike Enriquez in a video posted by GMA Integrated News. The Kapamilya news anchor shared Mike’s quality that impressed her. Aside from his voice and humor, Bernadette remembered the late broadcaster’s courage. According to Bernadette, Mike had the valor that he did not brag about.
