Susan Enriquez, along with Raffy Tima and Joel Reyes Zobel, guested on “Fast Talk with Boy Abunda” on Wednesday.
During the show, Susan shared with Tito Boy how she went “in denial” after she first learned about Mike Enriquez’s demise through their group chat.

“Ando'n ako sa baba, Tito Boy, getting ready for the 'Dapat Alam Mo.' And then mayroon isang group chat kami, biglang mayro'ng pinost na picture ni Sir Mike,” Susan narrated.
She then revealed what came to her mind following the heartbreaking update.
“Parang inisip ko, 'Fake news na naman ito.' Parang gano'n 'yung tumakbo sa isip ko.”
“Pero siyempre no'ng pagbalik ko, medyo naba-validate na totoo nga. Naku, parang hindi malubos maisip kung totoo na nga ba 'yon. Alam mo 'yun, in denial ka na totoo na 'yung balitang 'yon.”
Mike Enriquez, or Miguel Castro Enriquez in real life, was a multi-awarded Pinoy television and radio newscaster. He was the president of GMA Network’s regional and radio subsidiary, RGMA Network Inc., and was also the Station Manager of Super Radyo DZBB 594 AM. Mike was also a regular anchor on 24 Oras with Mel Tiangco and Vicky Morales.
Mel Tiangco could not help but get emotional while reporting Mike’s passing. In the said report, Mel’s voice quavered while presenting GMA Network’s statement on Mike’s demise. Furthermore, Vicky Morales and Emil Sumangil were also seen emotional during the closing spiel on Tuesday's episode of “24 Oras.”
