The Filipino-Australian singer-songwriter took to social media and posted about the said milestone.
On her Instagram account, Ylona shared some photos and clips taken during the event.
Among the clips, she uploaded showed her singing some lines of “Lupang Hinirang.”

In her lengthy caption, Ylona talked about the lovely experience.
“Nagkaroon ako ng pagkakataong kantahin ang Lupang Hinirang (Philippine National Anthem) sa palaro ng Dodgers!!”
“Medyo kabado ako nung una na kantahin ito, dahil hindi ito ang sarili kong kanta. Pero kahit na ganumpaman, ito ang kanta na nag-rerepresenta sa aking sarili at sa aking bansa. Sinigurado ko na nasa tamang tono, tamang oras at higit sa lahat galing sa aking puso ang pagkanta ko nito.”
Ylona also expressed her hope that she made Filipinos proud because of her singing.
“Sana’y napasaya at napahanga ko kayo, mga kababayan. Sana ay proud kayo, Pilipinas!!”

Ylona Garcia is an actress and singer who broke through in showbiz by joining Pinoy Big Brother in 2015. She also made her mark as a cast member of the ABS-CBN teleserye “Sana Dalawa Ang Puso,” which starred Jodi Sta. Maria and Robin Padilla.
In a previous report by KAMI, entertainment reporter Lolit Solis praised Ylona’s post about working at McDonald’s. She expressed her full support to Ylona for being hard-working and not picky in choosing a job. Lolit also described the young star as a humble and practical individual.
She also made news when she revealed that she got hospitalized in 2018. According to her post, she needed medical assistance due to the stress she suffered after reading comments on social media. Fortunately, Ylona Garcia is doing much better now and is in a much happier place.
