Luis Manzano appeared to have been exonerated by the National Bureau of Investigation or NBI after the bureau did not include his name in its list of persons being charged for syndicated estafa in connection with the Flex Fuel Petroleum Corporation controversy.

In a report by TV patrol, the NBI has filed a formal complaint with the Taguig Prosecutor’s Office against the president of the corporation and 11 other officers.

The actor’s name was not included in the charge sheet filed by the bureau.

It can be recalled that the name of Luis was dragged into the controversy after his name appeared as allegedly one of the corporation’s officers in the complaint letter sent by investors to President Bongbong Marcos.

According to the letter of the investors, Luis was allegedly the Chairman of the Board and owner of Flex Fuel Petroleum Corporation.

Luis has repeatedly denied the allegation and his lawyer has since then made some legal actions to clear the name of the actor.

Apparently, the NBI has found Luis innocent of whatever alleged wrongdoing of the corporation that it decided not to charge him along with the others.
