Paolo Contis, along with Betong Sumaya, was interviewed by PikaPika.
They were asked if it were true that they no longer use "Dabarkads" in the show to avoid conflict.
"Lately ba iniiwasan niyo nang gamiting ang 'Dabarkads' para wala na lang gulo?" the reporter asked.
Paolo then answered in the affirmative and clarified that they are now making use of the term, "Kapuso."

He explained that they are being shown on GMA, so it is just proper that they would call their viewers as "Kapuso."
"Uhm, yes. I'm not sure if I can actually say it, but yes, kung napapansin niyo ginagamit namin ngayon 'Kapuso,' feeling naman talaga namin it's proper because we are shown sa GMA network mismo. So I think tama rin na 'Kapuso' ang itawag namin sa mga manonood namin," explained Paolo.
Eat Bulaga is the longest-running noontime program in the world. Its hosts, including Vic Sotto, Tito Sotto, Joey De Leon, Maine Mendoza, and others announced last May 31 that they are separating from TAPE Inc., the company that produces the show. It is not yet clear as of this writing if the hosts will take the Eat Bulaga title with them to another network or if TAPE Inc. will keep the iconic name.
Paolo took to IG Stories and shared the ratings of the three competing noontime shows. Based on the ratings that Paolo posted from Nielsen Phils., GMA's "Eat Bulaga" had an increase in terms of people's ratings. It saw an increase compared to "E.A.T." and "It's Showtime." The actor captioned it with, "fight fight fight."
He revealed on ’The Boobay and Tekla Show’ that he sent private messages to both Vic Sotto and Joey De Leon. The new ‘Eat Bulaga’ host sent a private message to Vic through the latter’s wife, Pauleen Luna. Likewise, Paolo sent a private message to Joey, who he described as his “kumpare.” Paolo then shared the content of his private messages.
