Cristy Fermin, Romel Chika, nagbigay ng assessment kay Ricci Rivero: "Hindi pang-jowa o pang-partner for life"

Cristy Fermin and Romel Chika, in the latest episode of "Cristy Ferminute" discussed Andrea Brillantes and Ricci Rivero.

The veteran columnist started off by mentioning Ricci and asked Romel what he could say about him.

Romel then answered without hesitation and said that the basketball player was not the type to be made into one's jowa or a partner for life.

"Hindi pang-jowa o pang-partner for life, pang seasonal boyfriend, parang ganon," started Romel.

"Bakit?" asked Nay Cristy.

"Unang-una bata pa... sikat siya sa kanyang mundong ginagalawan, kaya marami siyang dahilan sa sarili niya, yung hindi niya matanggap, kung makikipagrelasyon siya ng matagalan, lalo na yung seryosohan ng malala, hindi niya kaya yon," Romel said.

Cristy later read some comments about Ricci and agreed to one of them.

"'Gustong mag-showbiz kaya nagpapakontrobersyal si Ricci Rivero.' Etong eksakto. Eksakto to...Mahilig humarap sa kamera. Para sa kanya siguro, mas malaking mileage kapag siya ang nauna," said Cristy.

Ricci Paolo Rivero is a Pinoy basketball player whose breakout performance during the UAAP Season 80 men’s basketball tournament netted him a spot in the Mythical Five and also earned him the Most Improved Player award. He used to play for the De La Salle Green Archers but eventually left the team to focus on Gilas Pilipinas.

Ricci, in an interview on “Fast Talk with Boy Abunda,” revealed that he broke his silence about what transpired between him and Andrea Brillantes in order to protect his family and friends. In part 2 of his tell-all interview with the talk show host, Ricci said he wanted very much to honor the promise not to talk about what happened between him and the actress. In the end, he had to break his silence because he saw it’s already affecting his family, his closest friends, and also dragging those who don’t have anything to do with the issue. The basketball star also admitted he committed some mistakes and expressed his gratitude to his family and friends who were there to support him.

Aside from his revelation during the interview about him and Andrea living together sometimes, he also talked about an instance where his parents were allegedly approached by someone and told that their son is a cheater. Ricci insisted that he is not a cheater and is starting to get hurt by the accusation.
