Ricci Rivero recently had his first sit-down interview after announcing his breakup with Andrea Brillantes.

During the first part of Boy Abunda’s interview with him for “Fast Talk with Boy Abunda,” the Asia’s King of Talk asked Ricci about accusations that he just used Andrea as a trophy girlfriend.

“Ricci, 'yung mga usap-usapang ginamit mo si Andrea Brillantes, trophy girlfriend, para ikaw daw ay sumikat, anong nais mong sabihin?” Boy inquired.

To which Ricci responded, “Kung ginamit ko po siya, marami pong offers ang ABS-CBN na sitdown interviews with her, shows with her. Simula po nung naging kami, never po ako nag-yes, lahat po nag-beg off ako. Kasi ayaw ko rin naman pong parang i-connect 'yung trabaho sa personal relationship ko.”

Furthermore, the basketball player clarified that his feelings for the actress were genuine.

“Sa akin sobrang genuine ng lahat eh. Wala sa isip ko yung mga ganyang bagay kasi minsan lang ako mag-girlfriend eh, bakit sa ganyang paraan ko pa naman gagawin?”
