Ricci Rivero has finally spoken up on his and Andrea Brillantes’ much-talked-about breakup.

In the latest episode of “Fast Talk with Boy Abunda,” Ricci said he and Andrea decided to call it quits last May.
“April, we took a break off. We took a little break from each other, siguro parang kailangan lang ng breather. Tapos yung breakup was first week ng May talaga.”

When asked about the reason behind the cool off, Ricci recalled, “Babalikan ko lang po before anything else. Marami na rin po kaming sinusubukang ayusin na problema. Personality, hindi naman sa may mali kasi o may kasalanan or whatsoever.”
“Marami naman siyang pwedeng factor. Could be yung immaturity namin pareho, pwedeng ganu'n. So may mga inaayos kami na sa akin normal naman para sa relationship.”
He later addressed the speculations that Andrea caught him with another girl at his place, which was also the reason behind their breakup.
“Yung cause ng breakup was yung speculations na kumakalat sa social media na may nakita siyang girl dun sa place ko.”
“Pero ilang beses po naman naming pinag-usapan ito. Sobrang daming beses,” he revealed.
“Sinabi ko sa kanya with all the evidences I have na hindi po sa akin yung girl. May papuntang friend akong midnight tapos hindi ko naman alam na may kasama siya. Yun ang inabutan niya [Andrea] that time.”
Tito Boy then inquired, “Naunawaan ba’ yon ni Andrea?”
“Opo, Tito Boy. Alam ko po na alam niya, na naniniwala siya sa akin kasi even after that, Tito Boy, nag-uusap pa din kami, nagkikita pa din kami.”
Ricci also revealed that it was Andrea who took the leaked video showing the unidentified girl.

Her popularity was further propelled when she played the role of 'Marga' in the hit teleserye “Kadenang Ginto.” She was a member of The Gold Squad, Along with her “Kadenang Ginto” co-stars Francine Diaz, Kyle Echarri, and Seth Fedelin.
