You cannot have "Eat Bulaga" without TVJ
"Eat Bulaga" is the longest-running noontime variety program on Philippine television. The show premiered on July 30, 1979. Its pioneer hosts include showbiz icons Vic Sotto, Joey de Leon, and Tito Sotto. Tape Inc.'s "Eat Bulaga" recently went back live on air on GMA with its new lineup of hosts, including Paolo Contis, Buboy Villar and Betong Sumaya.
Tito Sotto took to social media and shared a couple of photos of the “legit Dabarkads.” One of the photos shows him, Vic Sotto and Joey de Leon posing for the camera with TV5 executives. Along with the pictures, Tito likewise penned a meaningful caption. The former Senate president’s caption has a message about loyalty.
Joey De Leon, in a social media post, appeared to have issued a challenge to a group whom he did not name. The TV host comedian made the post after their official welcoming ceremony, which was attended in full force by the “Eat Bulaga” main and co-hosts, who Joey called “Legit Dabarkads.” Also present during the event were senior executives of TV5 and its parent company, MediaQuest. In his post, Joey said he’s very honored to say that at present, the comic trio is celebrating their 47th or 48th year as noontime show hosts.
