Joey de Leon’s latest Instagram reel drew the attention of his followers, including some celebrities.

His post shows a part from Eat Bulaga’s previous opening billboard.

In the caption, the Henyo Master wrote a meaningful message.

“Buong bansa…buong daigdig…NAGHIHINTAY,” his caption reads.

In the comments section, it could be noticed that the noontime show’s former hosts Maja Salvador and Miles Ocampo immediately reacted.

Born on October 14, 1946, Jose Maria Ramos de Leon Jr., known professionally as Joey de Leon, is an iconic actor, comedian, and television host in the Philippines. He is a member of the comedy trio Tito, Vic and Joey that has made several comedy movies and TV shows. Joey is also best known for being a pioneer host of the longest-running noontime show in the country, “Eat Bulaga.” It premiered on July 30, 1979.

Joey de Leon immediately took to social media after his, Vic and Tito Sotto’s announcement on Eat Bulaga’s YouTube channel. On May 31, the show’s three main hosts revealed that they will be parting ways with Television and Production Exponents Inc. (TAPE). Following the big news, Joey cryptically said in a post that they are not signing off. The 76-year-old comedian underscored, "We are just taking a day off!"

Recently, Tito Sotto, Vic Sotto, Joey de Leon and their "Eat Bulaga" co-hosts had their first lunch together at TV5 Media Center. A couple of live videos showing the said lunch were aired on the iconic trio’s Facebook page named "TVJ." Ryan Agoncillo, Allan K, Jose Manalo, Wally Bayola and Paolo Ballesteros were spotted in the videos.
