Slater Young has finally addressed the backlash he received over his controversial statement about men 'fantasizing' over women.
KAMI learned that in their latest podcast, Kryz Uy began by asking how her husband was, "How are you feeling, my love?"
There, Slater admitted that it has been challenging during the past few days, dubbing it an "eye-opening few days" for himself.
"Not so good. Not so good in the sense na it's been a hard few days. It's been an eye-opening few days, and you know, sometimes you think that you did something okay and it takes a lil' while for it to sink in na, 'Ah, mali pala talaga ako,'" he recalled.

According to Slater, he was ashamed of his earlier statement, especially after reading some of the comments left by several netizens online.
Looking back at his statement, Slater admitted he did not understand right away why it received backlash on social media.
"I went as far to say na kung sa group chat man, wala kang magawa sa mga nagse-send ng ganyan, sakyan mo na lang and diniin ko pa siya na it's very very normal, that's the word I used. At that time, when I re-listened to it, 'Wala naman mali sa sinabi ko.' Ganyan pa yung inisip ko," he revealed.
Eventually, the internet personality said he realized his mistake after taking the time to read through the comments.
"It took a few days to sink in, it took a lot of reading through comments because I wanted to understand why this was the case. Feeling ko nasa bubble ako na hindi ko nakikita yung nakikita ng iba. I finally realized, 'Oh my God, I really made a mistake' because I'm giving it power to say na it's okay and me saying it's normal, normalizes it," he said.
