Celeste Cortesi gave important advice to her successor as Bb Pilipinas-Universe.
The beauty queen won the crown in 2022, allowing her to compete in the prestigious Ms. Universe pageant.
This year, the Bb Pilipinas-Universe organization is set to choose another beauty to represent the country in this year’s global pageant.

As for her, she said that being the nation’s representative is a memorable experience.
“Always enjoy and really cherish every single moment because again, this, for me, has been one of the most memorable experiences of my life,” Celeste said.
In a separate report by Interaksyon, Celeste also said that there are times a candidate or winner loses herself in her quest to get a title or crown.
“I think that’s really important because there’s always a tendency for a candidate or a winner to kind of lose yourself in the process of wanting to have a title or a crown,” she said.
The reigning Bb Pilipinas-Universe then voiced out her simple request to the would-be winner in this year’s pageant to stick to her principles and her values, adding that she wished her successor would be guided by her purpose.

“As long as you really stick on your principles and your values and you're guided by your purpose, you will be that kind of empowered and inspirational woman,” she said.
In a Twitter post by Inquirer, Celeste’s successor would be traveling all the way to El Salvador to compete in this year’s Miss Universe pageant.
Celeste was born on December 15, 1997 to a Filipino mother and an Italian father. The beauty queen from Pasay first made her presence known in the local pageant scene through the Miss Earth Philippines 2018 competition. She became even more well-known after winning the Miss Universe Philippines 2022 pageant. The 25-year-old stunner grew up in Italy and moved to the Philippines to pursue pageantry.
Early this year, Celeste became of the contenders for the 71st Miss Universe pageant. Unfortunately, she wasn't able to make it to the Top 16. This confused and angered many Filipinos, including celebrities, who believe that their beauty queen deserved a spot in the semis. “It’s Showtime” hosts Vice Ganda and Kim Chiu expressed their shock over the results of the pageant. Other celebrities who posted about the pageant results include Gabbi Garcia, Maja Salvador, and Allan K.

After her failed bid, Celeste posted about her experience and feelings. In her lengthy post, the beauty queen from Pasay penned about her MUPH journey. After taking home the crown, Celeste felt beyond thankful to be chosen as the country’s representative in this year’s Miss Universe pageant. She likewise expressed her hope that her story “can inspire so many to never give up on their dreams.”
