Celeste Cortesi, 24, recently shared a heartfelt post after bagging the Miss Universe Philippines 2022 crown.
On her Instagram page, she shared what she had gone through before winning the said pageant.
“Yesterday, as I was walking on that beautiful stage all I was thinking was my mom and dad."
"The strength I got from them is indescribable. I’ve worked so hard for this, I’ve prepared. And I let God do the rest knowing that whatever is meant for me will never pass me by.”

“I’ve grown so much since I came to the Philippines 5 years ago and I really promised myself that I would only join a pageant when I am ready to take on the responsibility of a crown, and I am now.”
The beauty queen from Pasay also penned, “Yesterday, I’ve received my second chance and I am beyond honored and grateful to be able to represent my country in the miss universe stage.”
Furthermore, Celeste hopes that her journey can also inspire many.
“I hope that with my story I can inspire so many to never give up on their dreams because thru hard work, perseverance and faith you can achieve anything you want.”
Celeste Cortesi was born on December 15, 1997 to a Filipino mother and an Italian father. The beauty queen from Pasay first made her presence known in the local pageant scene through the Miss Earth Philippines 2018 competition. She became even more well-known after winning the Miss Universe Philippines 2021 pageant. The 24-year-old stunner grew up in Italy and moved to the Philippines to pursue pageantry.
