Jeffrey claimed that years ago, Liza was allegedly invited by Marvel to audition for the role of Mary Jane in Spider-Man.

However, Jeffrey said that the actress was "not allowed to audition since she had to do the same thing that she has been doing."

“Si Liza Soberano na rin po ang nagsabi niyan, na walang imbitasyon na galing sa Marvel at 'yung tweet na 'yon ay galing sa isang fan na nagpakalat, na naniniwala na posible na makapasok si Liza bilang isa sa mga extra or may mga roles doon sa Spider-Man kung siya ay sakaling mag-audition,” said Ogie.

Ogie likewise asked Jeffrey to show any proof supporting his claims.

“Hindi ko alam kung dito nanggagaling si Mr. Jeffrey Oh, doon sa tweet ng fan na 'yon. O baka naman meron siyang resibo. Mr. Jeffrey, you might want to release the receipt or the proof that Liza received an invitation from Marvel to audition for the role of Mary Jane.”

He also stressed, “Dahil ako, bilang former manager ni Liza, at ang Star Magic, at ang ABS-CBN, as far as we know, walang imbitasyon mula sa Marvel at 'yan ay sinegundahan ni Liza.”

“Kaya hindi ko alam kung saan nanggagaling si Mr. Jeffrey. Kaya nga hinihingan ko ng resibo, kasi baka 'pag may resibo ay makapag-sorry kami kay Liza.”

“Sino ba naman ang ayaw, lead 'yon ano. Hollywood movie 'yon ano, na pangarap ni Liza. Pero wala nga pong imbitasyon,” Ogie added.

Ogie Diaz has defended his former talent Liza Soberano from her bashers online. Previously, Liza was criticized after she revealed that "Hello, Love, Goodbye" was first offered to LizQuen. In his 'Showbiz Update' vlog, Loi Villarama, his co-host, also aired his confusion over Liza's statement. This, in return, prompted Ogie to defend Liza's statements about love teams in the Philippines.
