Ogie Diaz recently revealed in his vlog that he tried to persuade Liza Soberano to star in the Philippine adaptation of a Korean series.

In his 'Showbiz Update' video on YouTube, KAMI learned that Ogie and his co-host Loi Villarama talked about the actress again.

During their discussion, Ogie recalled telling Liza to star in the Philippine adaptation of the Korean series It's Okay to Not Be Okay.

At the beginning of their discussion, Ogie pointed out that Liza only has six films throughout her showbiz career.

"Kung mapapansin mo ano, sa entire career ni Liza eh anim na pelikula lang ang kanyang nagawa. Ibig sabihin, ganun ka-ano kay Liza ang paggawa ng pelikula, kailangan maibigan niya, ma-in love siya sa character niya, ma-in love siya sa movie. Ganun siya ka-pihikan sa kanyang mga tinatanggap," he said.

According to Ogie, he tried to convince Liza to do the show even though they were already parting ways, which meant he had no commission should Liza do the series.

"Nung huli, bago matapos yung aming kontrata, sinabi ko kay Liza, 'Nak, maganda 'tong It's Okay to Not Be Okay.' Sabi ko, 'Tanggapin mo na yan kahit wala na ako sa picture.' Ibig sabihin, kahit wala na akong komisyon dun or makukuha dun.

"Gusto ko lang siyang makita ng mga fans niya ulit. Sila ni Enrique Gil. Oo, happy na ako kahit under contract pa siya sakin, sinabi ko, 'Gawin mo na kahit wala naman din akong makuha.' Hindi rin naman niya tinanggap," he revealed.

Aside from this, Ogie claimed that he once asked Cory Vidanes to put their pitches on hold and to ask Liza and Enrique Gil about what they wanted instead.

"Si Tita Cory Vidanes, nag-ano na naman sakin, 'Ogs, magpi-pitch ulit kami kay Liza. Baka merong pumasa na.' Sabi ko kay Tita Cory, 'Tita, baka pwede niyo nang i-stop yung pitching and ask na lang natin sila kung baka meron silang alam na storyline.' Pero wala eh, walang dumadating na storyline from them," he said.
