Cristy Fermin, in the most recent episode of her showbiz report show ‘Cristy Ferminute’, said it’s just right that Liza Soberano’s citizenship is American.
The veteran showbiz columnist also said that the actress is not really a Filipino.
“Hindi ka Pilipino. Tamang-tama lang na ang citizenship mo ay Amerikano ka pa rin hanggang ngayon,” Manay Cristy said.
Earlier, she slammed the actress for not recognizing all the help that people around her like Ogie Diaz, her former manager, did for her.

The veteran showbiz columnist also expressed her opinion that Liza’s vlog revealed that the real reason why she left the Philippine showbiz industry was not because of Hollywood but because of something else.
Manay Cristy then said that Liza completely erased her character as an actress.
“Binura mo na pala yun sa pagkatao mo bilang artista,” Manay Cristy said.
Liza is a Fil-Am actress, singer, endorser, and model. She has starred in various TV series and movies, which include 'Forevermore,' 'Dolce Amore,' and 'Bagani,' among others. She is currently in a relationship with her on-screen partner, Enrique Gil.
In the same episode of Cristy Ferminute, the veteran columnist revealed what for her is the true reason why Liza Soberano left the Philippine showbiz industry. According to the veteran columnist, there are indications that Liza just doesn’t want to do what her home network, ABS-CBN, and Star Cinema were asking from her. Visibly angry, Manay Cristy said that the initial reason that Liza gave about entering Hollywood appeared to be just a smokescreen. She then called the actress “walang utang na loob,” adding that indeed she’s not a Filipino.
Manay Cristy also called the actress “walang utang na loob." According to the veteran columnist, Liza was full of complaints in her recent vlog post and did not even bother to be grateful to those who helped her. She also compared the young actress to veteran stars like Vilma Santos, Nora Aunor, and Sharon Cuneta, who took care of their career and never complained that they were being controlled. Manay Cristy then slammed the actress for making a lot of excuses when in fact the only reason, as the veteran columnist surmised, is Liza doesn’t want to do the things being asked of her as an ABS-CBN artist.
