Liza Soberano’s dad has come out with a statement regarding the events and controversy surrounding the career of his daughter.

In a video shared by columnist and TV host MJ Marfori, Liza’s dad issued a short statement to the viewers of the TV host.

The words spoken by Liza’s father is a bit garbled, though MJ wrote a caption alongside the video so people would understand what the actress’ dad talked about.

According to MJ, this is the reply of Liza’s dad to people who have been calling the actress ungrateful.

“#LizaSoberano’s dad #JohnCastilloSoberano has a short message to the people calling her daughter ungrateful,” MJ wrote as caption in her post.

“Since you guys are all hurt i’m very sorry,” Liza’s dad began.

He, however, said that many just don’t understand his daughter.

“For what you guys didnt understand,” Mr. Soberano said.

It can be recalled that Liza opted not to renew her contract with ABS-CBN and then signed one with Careless, the music label of James Reid.

The actress is now in the US and is trying to take her shot at being discovered by the American film industry.

Recently, Liza released a vlog and revealed details about why she left her manager, Ogie Diaz, and ABS-CBN.

In the end, however, Ogie said that he hopes Liza's 'shine' would return.

In a related post, Cristy Fermin, in one of the episodes of Showbiz Now Na, expressed her opinion on the career move of Liza Soberano. The veteran columnist described Liza and her career as “nalaos.“ She also commented that while Liza is a good actress, there are others who are better than her. In addition, Cristy also said that it was Ogie Diaz who actually pushed for the career of the actress, including her endorsements.
