Vice Ganda, in an interview with former mayor Isko Moreno on Iskovery Night, revealed that he tried to cure his gender when he was younger.

More specifically, he tried to cure his being gay.

In order to do this, he tried to date girls before and admitted that he could not bring himself to kiss nor touch a woman.

"I was trying to cure it until I realized, ‘bakit ko kinu-cure eh, hindi naman ‘to sakit, o disability.’ Hindi naman siya nagbabago, nagka-girlfriend lang ako pero bakla pa rin ako,” Vice narrated.

“Hindi ko kayang humalik. ‘Di ko kayang humalik sa labi...Nanginginig ako na naninigas ako, I swear kinilabutan talaga ako,” said Vice.

This elicited laughter from the former mayor.

Vice then came to the realization that since being gay is not a disease, then there is no need for him to cure it.

Thereafter, Vice came to terms with himself and fully embraced his orientation.

Now, he is happy with his partner Ion Perez.

Vice Ganda is a famous comedian, actor, endorser, and host in the Philippines. He is best known for hosting “It’s Showtime” and for his commercially successful movies in the MMFF. The superstar is currently in a relationship with Ion Perez. Vice Ganda and Ion got their Certificate of Commitment in a special ceremony in Las Vegas, Nevada on Oct. 19, 2021.
