Jennica Garcia, during the recent media conference of Dirty Linen, admitted that she had considered working as an OFW abroad after languishing for several months without any film project.

She also denied that she was handpicked for a role in Dirty Linen, saying that she actually asked to have a role in the project.

“Alam niyo, eto na nga, usapang handpicked. Gusto ko man sabihin na... Masarap man lumabas sa bibig na 'I was handpicked for this role', hindi po talaga yun yung nangyari po,” Jennica said.

She then revealed that she stopped acting in showbiz for seven years and when she finally returned, she did one project but nothing followed after that.

The actress said that it was during this time that she entertained the prospect of becoming an OFW.

“Bale 7 years po akong nag-artista. 7 years din po akong tumigil. Pagbalik ko po nakagawa ako ng isang proyekto tapos wala na pong sumunod and it was almost 6 months of no work,” she said during the mediacon.

“Iniisip ko na rin po no'n na okay lang 'pag di ako mabigyan. Mag-o-OFW na lang po ako,” Jennica added.

In the end, she conceded that acting is the only work she knows but if she still fails to have a project, she would push through with her plan of going abroad.

“Ito lang ang alam ko na trabaho e, ang pag-aartista. Ang isa ko na lang pong naisip ay mag-ibang bansa,” Jennica said.
“I sent a viber message to Sir Deo asking for work,” the actress said, confirming that she was not handpicked for the role but was the one who sought for it.

Jennica is the daughter of actress Jean Garcia. When she married actor Alwyn Uytingco, Jennica decided to temporarily leave showbiz to focus on their family. The two parted ways after several years of marriage.

In an interview with Kiko Escuadro of ABS-CBN, Jennica refrained from giving details about her relationship with Alwyn Uytingco. However, she said all she could say was that they tried but did not work out. She also did not answer the question as regards their two children, Mori and Severina.

Last year, the video she shared on her Facebook page went viral on the said social media platform, gaining more than 30,000 views. Many netizens have also reacted to it and gushed over Jennica's beauty. In the said clip, it can be seen that she is also with her mother, Jean Garcia.
