A day after the pageant was held and the winner announced, Celeste posted a prose from American author Bianca Sparacino that talked about where true happiness lies.

Part of the quote said that one is going to realize it someday that happiness was never about a job or degree.

“You're going to realize it one day - that happiness was never about your job or your degree or being in a relationship,” the post of Celeste quoted from an American author said.

“Happiness was never about following in the footsteps of all of those who came before you; it was never about being like the others,” it read further.

The prose by Sparacino then concluded that happiness is not in the hands of others, but rather it’s how one lives his life.

“One day, you will understand that happiness was always about learning how to live with yourself, that your happiness was never in the hands of others. It was always about you. It was always about you,” says the prose as posted by Celeste on her IG Stories.

In an ambush interview by Dyan Castillejo after the pageant night, Celeste emotionally thanked everyone who supported her.

"Hey guys, thank you so much for your love and support, I truly, truly love ya and i'm so grateful to you," Celeste said during the ambush interview.

Celeste Cortesi was born on December 15, 1997 to a Filipino mother and an Italian father. The beauty queen from Pasay first made her presence known in the local pageant scene through the Miss Earth Philippines 2018 competition. She became even more well-known after winning the Miss Universe Philippines 2022 pageant. The 25-year-old stunner grew up in Italy and moved to the Philippines to pursue pageantry.

In a previous KAMI report, it stated that the failure of Celeste to make it to the Top 16 in the 71st Miss Universe pageant marked the first time in 12 years that the Philippines failed to crack the semi-finals of the said beauty pageant. A Twitter user has also uploaded a video of Celeste crying while leaving the Miss Universe stage. Many Filipino netizens were heartbroken after seeing the viral video.

Among those who reacted with Celeste not making it to the Top 16 of the 71st Miss Universe pageant were Vice Ganda and Kim Chiu. The two 'It's Showtime' hosts expressed their shock over the results of the pageant. Other celebrities who posted about the pageant results include Gabbi Garcia, Maja Salvador, and Allan K.
