Celeste Cortesi received a special message from Shamcey Supsup, a former Miss Universe contestant and current Miss Universe Philippines director.

Shamcey praised Celeste for fighting bravely in representing the Philippines at the 71st Miss Universe pageant held over the weekend in New Orleans, USA, where she failed to crack the Top 16. It was the first time in 12 years that the Philippines did not make it to the semis of the said pageant.

Despite the results, Shamcey said that Celeste was able to make Filipinos proud through her performance.

Celeste Cortesi was born on December 15, 1997 to a Filipino mother and an Italian father. The beauty queen from Pasay first made her presence known in the local pageant scene through the Miss Earth Philippines 2018 competition. She became even more well-known after winning the Miss Universe Philippines 2022 pageant. The 25-year-old stunner grew up in Italy and moved to the Philippines to pursue pageantry.

In an earlier report, Celeste was also an absolute stunner in the swimsuit competition of Miss Universe 2022 preliminaries. She showcased her “Celestial Walk” on the pageant’s stage while wearing a pink two-piece swimsuit. The country’s bet likewise donned a cape made by children during her outreach in Marawi last year.
