Andrew Schimmer’s partner, Jho Rovero, passed away yesterday, December 20, after a long period of hospital confinement.
The heartbreaking news then made Ogie Diaz deeply saddened.
The talent manager took to his online talk show, “Showbiz Update,” to discuss the news.
Ogie shared that he was able to talk to Andrew via video call six minutes after Jho died.

“Ako pa ang unang tinawagan ni Andrew, 6 minutes pagkatapos ng pagpikit ng mga mata ni Jho,” Ogie claimed.
Mama Ogs even shared a short clip showing them having a video call. In the clip, Andrew could be seen shedding tears.
Ogie, however, opted not to share the audio of their conversation.
Meanwhile, Ogie aired a message of condolence for Andrew and his family.
“Mula sa amin dito sa ‘Showbiz Update,’ ang aming taos-pusong pakikiramay sa kanyang pamilya at pagsaludo na rin sa kadakilaan bilang mister at ama na si Andrew Schimmer.”

Andrew Schimmer is an actor in the Philippines. He was born on June 10, 1986 in Manila, Philippines. Some of his most well-known projects include Babangon Ako't dudurugin kita (2008), Gagamboy (2004) and Resiklo (2007). He made headlines when he asked his fellow celebrities and ordinary people to help his wife, Jorhomy “Jho” Rovero. Jho suffered a severe asthma attack that led to cardiac arrest and brain hypoxia.
Yesterday, Andrew announced that Jho has passed away. In a Facebook video, the actor emotionally said that he was shooting a game show in GMA-7 when he got a call from the doctor. He rushed to the hospital and saw the doctors and nurses trying to revive his partner.
Cristy Fermin, in the latest episode of “Cristy Ferminute,” then discussed the heartbreaking news. As per Cristy, there are ones who dislike Andrew’s vlogs about his partner’s death. The veteran showbiz columnist then defended the actor and urged the public, “Unawain na lang po natin."
