Andrew Schimmer announced that his partner, Jho Rovero, has passed away after a long period of hospital confinement.

Cristy Fermin then discussed the sad news during “Cristy Ferminute” on Wednesday.

The veteran showbiz columnist said some have negative comments on Andrew’s vlogs about his partner’s passing.

“Maraming nagtatanong sa akin at marami pong parang hindi nila nagustuhan 'yung pagba-vlog ni Andrew na ipinakita pa ang pumanaw niyang misis na nakadilat pa ang mata,” Cristy shared.

Cristy then went on to defend the actor, who is mourning the death of Jho.

“Ang punto ko naman, ang sagot ko, unawain na lang po natin si Andrew kasi magkakaiba naman po kasi ang ating paraan ng pamimighati pati ng pasasalamat. 'Yun po ay ginawa niya bilang pasasalamat sa lahat ng mga nagdasal, tumulong at talaga pong nakiisa kay Andrew sa pag-asa na gagaling ang kanyang ka-partner.”
“Hindi maintindihan ng iba nating mga kababayan, na karaniwan nga naman po kasi kapagka pumapanaw na ang isang tao, tinatakpan ng kumot, diba? 'Yun naman po talaga ang nakasanayan natin, tinatalukbungan na po ng kumot. Kaya lamang si Andrew, dahil sa kanya sigurong kagustuhan na makita, sabi naman niya e, pinakahuling sandali makita si Jho,” she continued.

The entertainment reporter also urged the public, “Unawain na lang po natin kasi siguro'y sobra nang nakalublob sa kalungkutan si Andrew. Hindi na niya alam ang gagawin kaya ganu'n ang kanyang nagawa.”

Furthermore, Cristy aired heartfelt condolences for Jho’s bereaved loved ones.

“Wala na po tayong masasabi kung ang ating matining na pagdadalamhati kay Andrew, sa pamilya po ni Jho, sa kanilang mga kaibigan at anak, sa lahat po ng mga iniwan ni Jho ang amin pong pakikiramay,” said Cristy.

Andrew Schimmer is an actor in the Philippines. He was born on June 10, 1986 in Manila, Philippines. Some of his most well-known projects include Babangon Ako't dudurugin kita (2008), Gagamboy (2004) and Resiklo (2007).

He made headlines when he asked his fellow celebrities and ordinary people to help his wife, Jorhomy “Jho” Rovero. Jho suffered a severe asthma attack that led to cardiac arrest and brain hypoxia.

Yesterday, Andrew announced that Jho has passed away. In a Facebook video, the actor emotionally said that he was shooting a game show in GMA-7 when he got a call from the doctor. He rushed to the hospital and saw the doctors and nurses trying to revive his partner.
