Chito Miranda, one of the most famous rock artists in the Philippines, posted his thoughts on the call to ban certain foreign acts in the country.

According to Chito, banning foreign acts in the country will not help local shows and artists to succeed.

The Parokya Ni Edgar frontman believes that producing better shows, movies, and music that can compete with international products is the key.

Chito’s tweet came after Senator Jinggoy Estrada said that he sometimes thinks about banning Korean dramas in the Philippines since Filipinos are obsessed with them. He clarified later on that his statement was fueled by his frustration over the lack of support for local artists.

Chito Miranda is a famous music artist – the frontman of the iconic OPM band Parokya Ni Edgar. He got married to actress Neri Naig on December 13, 2014 and they have an adorable son named Miggy. In October 2021, Neri gave birth to their second child Manuel Alfonso Miranda, whose nickname is Cash.
