Jake Ejercito posted a tribute to Cherie Gil on his Facebook page. It can be recalled that Cherie passed away on Friday, August 5.

The unfortunate news saddened many people including Jake.

In his post, he shared a few photos of Cherie and one of them was with his daughter, Ellie.

There's also another picture where Jake's family and Andi Eigenmann's family are together.

Jake captioned his post with a touching message to the late actress.

"Never second rate. Never trying hard Rest in Power, Tita Cherie," he wrote.

"Wishing her family and loved ones peace and comfort in this time of grief," he added.

The post of the Kapamilya actor likewise elicited comments from netizens who wrote messages for Cherie.

Jake Ejercito is a Pinoy actor who appeared in several movies including Marry Me, Marry You, Mansyon, and Coming Home. He was born on March 27, 1990, to actress Laarni Enriquez and actor-turned-politician, former President Joseph “Erap” Ejercito Estrada. He is the father of Ellie Eigenmann, his daughter with Andi Eigenmann.
