The video has already reached more than 1.8 million views on social media with 41K reacts, along with 2K comments, and has been shared over 32K times by netizens.

The then 21-year-old Charice came out as a member of the LGBTQIA+ community in 2013 during an interview with Boy Abunda on “The Buzz.”

Jake Zyrus is a well-known singer and songwriter in the Philippines. He was previously known as Charice Pempengco, the girl who made international TV appearances because of her singing prowess.

In April of this year, when the grandmother of Jake died, his camp released a statement asking for privacy so the singer could mourn the death of his grandmother and uncle in silence. This was made clear through a statement sent to ABS-CBN through Carl Cabral, his talent manager. Earlier, Jake’s mother, Raquel Pempengco, issued an appeal to the singer for help after her mother and brother died. The relationship between Raquel and her son has been estranged for some time.

Earlier, his mother, Raquel Pempengco, also revealed in an exclusive interview with PEP that she reached out to Jake and sought the latter's help. She said that she contacted Jake from the time that her mom, Jake's grandmother Tess Pineda, died. Days after her mother passed, her brother also died, and despite that, Jake has not reached out. She also hoped that Jake would help her because she cannot do it all alone, her whole family is dependent on her.
