When Ogie published his Showbiz Update vlog on YouTube, he jokingly called himself as a historian instead of a marites.

Ogie Diaz took to Twitter and expressed his opinion on the desire of a solon to change the name of the Ninoy Aquino International Airport. He said that if the name will be changed, then it would be better to return it to "Manila International Airport" than to be "sipsip." The comedian quoted the tweet made by Mara Cepeda, a journalist, where the latter was in disbelief about the pet bill that seeks to rename the airport amidst the problems the country is facing.
