Pokwang is among the most well-loved comediennes in the industry. Her frank and motherly ways are always "patok" among Filipinos. She used to be with ABS-CBN but moved to GMA during the pandemic.
Pokwang slammed those who bashed her for the wrong spelling of the word “iodine.” She said writing a word down with some letters missing is better than lacking knowledge and respect for history. The comedienne then wrote the letter E several times to drive home her point. Earlier, Pokwang posted a tweet addressing Ella Cruz and telling her that the actress’ notion of history is wrong.
Pokwang took to Instagram and flaunted her morena skin, expressing how proud she is of her color. The comedienne then exclaimed that she is indeed "Pinay." She also mentioned that she loves her own skin color and even quipped about herself, being a celebrity. Celebs and netizens rallied behind Pokwang and commended her lovely photos.
