It can be recalled that the status of the two anchors became the subject of speculations after photos of them together in Balesin Island resort were posted last year by Zen.
Even their fellow anchor, Pinky Webb, who accidentally stumbled on them in the posh resort, became excited and thrilled at seeing the two, though she did not mention anything about their status.
At the time, when Pinky shared their photos online, she wrote in the caption that she was “kilig.”
June 21, 2021 nang ibahagi ng CNN Philippines senior anchor na si Pinky Webb ang larawan nilang tatlo nina Atom at Zen na aksidenteng nagkasalubong sa nasabing island resort.
“It was such a nice surprise!! Syempre, kinilig ako. Kasi, alam mo na……” Pinky captioned her post at the time.
She also wrote that she just felt great to see former officemates.
“It’s always so nice to see former officemates diba?” says Pinky in her previous post, adding a winking face with tongue emoji.
She then wrote “family is love,” adding a blue heart emoji, and then seemingly addressed followers with the statement: “Kayo talaga…”
In Zen’s recent post where she was seen sitting beside Atom in the company of friends, she indicated they’re just having lunch.
“Friends that lunch together…are officially titos and titas. Tagging tito @dax.lucas coz nabusog kami!” Zen wrote, adding a face with hand over mouth emoji and face with tears of joy emoji.
Netizens were thrilled to see two of them together again after a long time.
"Cutieee, katabi si Atom," one netizen wrote in the comment section.
"Atom ❤️ Zen, Zen ❤️ Atom... undeniably na kayo na po," another netizen said.
Yet another follower wrote in the comment section, expressing his opinion that there's a thing between Zen and Atom.
"Di kami naniniwalang friends lang kayo ni Atom. ," the other netizen wrote.
Alfonso Tomas Pagaduan Araullo, better known in the news industry Atom Araullo, is a Pinoy journo, TV presenter, occasional actor, radio host, and model. He is also an environmental conservation advocate, with emphasis on marine ecosystems. He has a star on the Eastwood City Walk of Fame.

Atom was also one of the prominent UP Alums who protested the termination of the pact between the University of the Philippines and the Department of National Defense (DND). The police and military were disallowed by the pact from entering the UP campus without the school’s permission. Aside from Atom, a couple of other celebrities and personalities like Janine Gutierrez, Frankie Pangilinan, and Enchong Dee, posted on social media to react to this controversial news.
