In the latest episode of the said radio program, Cristy said there are people daring Tom to name the person who scammed him.
“Ang tanong ng bayan, bakit ayaw pa niyang pangalanan kung sino 'yung nanloko sa kanya, 'di ba?”
The veteran showbiz columnist also shared that because of this rumor, speculations that this financial problem of Tom has affected his marriage with Carla Abellana then surfaced.
“'Yung pagkasabi niya na natakbuhan siya ng P24-M, ang daming karugtong na tanong, isa ba 'yan sa naging sign o isa ba 'yan na naghudyat kay Carla para magbago ang pagkakilala sa'yo? May karugtong na tanong 'yon.”
“Ngayon tuloy, pinipilit siya ng mga kababayan natin na, 'Name that person who fooled you.' Pangalanan mo na kung sino 'yang nanloko na 'yan dahil ayon sa kwento, nandu'n pa sa kasal nila ni Carla itong taong 'to,” Cristy stressed.
Nanay Cristy also believes that the reason why Tom entrusted a huge amount of money to the scammer was because they were friends for a long time.
“So, ito po ay hindi bagong kaibigan. Matagal nang kaibigan ni Tom Rodriguez ito. Dahil kung bagong kaibigan lang po ito, hindi niya po ito pagkakatiwalaan ng milyones. Hindi po niya ipagkakatiwala ang ganu'ng kalaking halaga kung bago lang niyang kakilala.”
