Susan Roces, who passed away on May 20, is beloved not only by her fans but also by her fellow celebrities, especially her “Ang Probinsyano” co-stars.

KAMI learned that Susan’s adopted daughter, Senator Grace Poe, uploaded a video compilation of some of the “Ang Probinsyano” cast members giving eulogies at the late actor’s wake.
In their speeches, Jaime Fabregas praised Susan’s work ethic and her passion for acting; Sharon Cuneta shared that Susan treated her like a real family member; John Arcilla sang “Tanging Yaman” to honor Susan; and Coco Martin revealed that his connection to Susan went beyond their work.
Senator Poe also expressed her gratitude to the “Ang Probinsyano” family, saying that Susan’s work on the series might have prolonged her life.
“Salamat sa buong Ang Probinsyano sa inyong pagmamahal kay Lola Flora,” Senator Poe wrote.
Susan Roces was a Filipina actress who became one of the most acclaimed and most successful celebrities in the Philippines. She married “Da King” on December 25, 1968, and adopted a daughter who is now Senator Grace. In 2004, FPJ died at the age of 65 after suffering from a stroke and was later on described by doctors as multiple organ failure. Susan passed away on May 20 at the age of 80 due to cardiac arrest.
In a previous report by KAMI, Actress Susan Roces and Sen. Grace Poe commemorated the 79th birth anniversary of FPJ. The two important women in the life of “Da King” decided to have a simple celebration. They thanked the supporters and also Coco Martin for continuing the legacy of FPJ.
Earlier, Sen. Grace Poe visited the grave of Fernando Poe Jr. for his 16th death anniversary. She posted a photo of her lighting candles in front of his father’s tomb. The commemoration was different from the previous years due to the pandemic. The senator expressed that even if Da King’s loved ones could not gather, he remains in the heart of and memory of everyone.
