Cristy Fermin recently aired her honest thoughts on Ogie Diaz’s reaction to Elizabeth Oropesa’s viral remark against celebrity supporters of Vice President Leni Robredo.
In the latest episode of Cristy Ferminute, the veteran showbiz reporter recapped Elizabeth’s statement where she also denied that performers at Bongbong Marcos’ campaign events were paid.

“Ang beteranang aktres na si Elizabeth Oropesa ay nagpatambis sa mga Kakampink. Magpapaputol daw siya ng dalawang paa bilang patunay na bayaran daw ang mga Kakampink, “ Cristy aired.
“Ang sabi naman ni Ogie Diaz, 'wag naman nang masyadong OA. Kung talagang bayaran ang mga Kakampink, 'wag mo nang sabihing papaputol mo ang mga paa mo dahil 'di mo rin naman gagawin.”
Nanay Cristy then expressed her confidence that Ogie Diaz, and other celebrity Kakampinks like Mama Loi, Dyosa Pockoh and Bituin Escalante were not really paid in exchange of their support for VP Leni’s presidential bid.
“Respetuhan lang 'yan, Romel. Si Ogie, pupwede kong tayuan, 100% na sila nina Loi at Dyosa, wala talagang tinatanggap na kahit singkong duling kapag umaakyat sila sa entablado ng Kakampink.”
“At nararanasan din natin 'yan, Romel, sa mga nakaraang kampanya po, mga Kapatid. May mga tinutulungan din po kaming artistang tumatakbo, Pro bono po, walang bayad, wala po kaming talent fee. Kaya naniniwala ako kina Ogie Diaz, kay Bituin Escalante, na nagsasabing, 'Wag niyo naman po sana kaming menusin. Kami po ay mga lumapit sa partido para kami ay tumulong. Wala po talaga kaming bayad dito.'”

Ogie Diaz is a comedian and a talent manager who is the one handling the career of Liza Soberano. He is also among the most outspoken celebs as he will not mince words when he comments on something, whether it be in showbiz or politics.
Ogie recently called out a tabloid newspaper anew because of its headlines against Vice President Leni Robredo. In his Instagram stories, the actor shared with his followers some photos of the newspaper’s recent front pages along with his frank reaction to the headlines.
Ogie likewise took to Facebook and thanked a netizen who appreciated his efforts, along with Mama Loi's. He then said that they are doing it for free since they truly know VP Leni Robredo. The comedian also added that they consider it as their little contribution or "ambag". Ogie also said that he will not be asking VP Leni for any position in the case, but he would just like her to continue being helpful, putting the country first before herself.
