Francine Diaz cannot help but get emotional when she guested at a recent episode of the morning talk show, Magandang Buhay.
The hosts of the show, Regine Velasquez, Melai Cantiveros, and Jolina Magdangal, were asking the young actress about her debut ball and were complementing her on her beauty.
When asked by Jolina what part of her debut is unforgettable for her, Francine answered it’s the people present.
“Yung mga tao po. Sila yung nagpaganda ng araw ko na yun. So iyong mga tao, kasi nakita ko lahat sila naka-smile,” Francine said.

“Sila po talaga yung nakakapagpasaya sa akin, alam kong meron silang care for me kaya sobra kong saya na nandoon sila,” the young actress added.
At this point, Jolina, knowing that Melai wasn’t able to go there, teased Francine with the question: “May care sa yo lahat nang nagpunta, diba?” to which the young actress replied in the affirmative.
Melai must have noticed where the conversation is going because she immediately blurted out: “Hoy, wag naman kayong magparinig diyang dalawa mga mamshie.”

She then proceeded to explain to Francine why she wasn’t able to come.
Francine started to say it’s okay but then tears fell down and she became very emotional.
“Okay lang pero kung sana naka-attend kayo…” Francine started to say and then ended her statement with a sob as tears fell.
Melai immediately hugged Francine, while the other co-hosts, Regine and Jolina, changed the topic.
It can be recalled that Melai was among those who extended a helping hand to Francine when the young actress was just starting out in showbiz.
In a past interview over at Inquirer News, Francine said that if not for Melai, they would have been kicked out of the house that they were renting back then.
A separate report by Philippine Star stated that Melai also helped Francine and her family pay their electric bills in the past.
