He then proceeded to explain what he meant by posting a photo on Facebook that included his earlier statement on Twitter.

Jake said that he is referring to supporters of various political candidates in the country today who are running in the coming May elections.

“My tweet refers to DDS (Diehard Duterte Supporters), Marcos loyalists, Dilawans, Kakampinks, etc. And yes, even Estrada loyalists,” Jake said, not sparing his family name.

Former Senators Jinggoy Estrada and JV Ejercito, both half-brothers of Jake, are running for senators in this year’s elections.

The actor then reminded everyone to be loyal to the Philippines and to their own principles, not personalities.

“Be loyal to the country and your principles, not to politicians,” Jake said.

Earlier in a separate post, Jake expressed support for the candidacy of presidential candidate VP Leni Robredo.
