Cristy Fermin recently penned a column about Sarah Geronimo, Matteo Guidicelli and the pop star’s mother, Mommy Divine.

In her column on Pilipino Star Ngayon titled “Kahit masaya na si Sarah, Mommy Divine hindi pa rin moved on kay Matteo,” the showbiz columnist held that Mommy Divine still can’t accept Matteo for her daughter.
“Ang pagtanggap ng kanyang mga magulang sa relasyon nila ni Matteo Guidicelli ang kukumpleto sa kaligayahan ni Sarah Geronimo.”
“Hindi na siguro ganu’n kainit ang galit ng kanyang Mommy Divine sa lihim nilang pagpapakasal ni Matteo pero hanggang ngayo’y hindi pa rin sila tanggap nito,” Nanay Cristy said.

Cristy furthermore stressed, “Ang sabi ay kaya raw tiisin ng anak ang kanyang magulang pero ang magulang ay hindi kayang tikisin-tiisin ang kanyang anak. Baligtad.”
According to Metro.Style, Sarah and Matteo have officially been a couple for close to seven years when they tied the knot.
As per a report by Manila Bulletin, Sarah and Mateo announced their engagement in November 2019. They got married in a secret civil ceremony at a posh hotel in Bonifacio Global City, Taguig City on February 20, 2020.
Sarah Geronimo is one of the top Filipino singers of her generation. She rose to popularity when she emerged as the winner of the television singing competition “Star for a Night”. She is also an actress and has made several blockbuster hit films. In February 2020, she finally got married to actor Matteo Guidicelli.
Matteo and Sarah’s sweet moment onstage went viral online. Sarah shed tears and got emotional while singing the classic Christmas OPM song “Sana Ngayong Pasko”. Matteo then went onstage to comfort his wife and to give her a hug after her performance. Netizens expressed their support for Sarah, telling her that all will be fine soon and that many people love her.
A “Magpakailanman” episode featuring Sarah’s humble beginnings became trending after it premiered on YouTube on August 12. The said episode of the drama anthology was originally aired on television on June 19, 2003. Kyla, a Kapuso-turned-Kapamilya, portrayed the principal character. Popsters then thanked GMA Network for uploading the said video.
