Veteran showbiz columnist Lolit Solis revealed that the popular Kapamilya network personality rumored to transfer to TV5 is Julius Babao.

The famous news anchor has been with ABS-CBN since 1993 and was a news anchor of TV Patrol from 2003 to 2010.
In one of her recent Instagram posts, Nay Lolit revealed the identity of Julius as the TV personality set to transfer to TV5.
She also opined that Julius might be the replacement of TV5’s Raffy Tulfo.

Raffy is running for a senate seat in next year’s elections.
“So si Julius Babao pala iyon nabalitang taga 2 na lilipat sa TV5 Salve. Sabagay halos kasabayan din naman ni Raffy Tulfo si Julius Babao kaya bagay din na ito ang ipalit sa slot niya dahil pumasok sa pulitika si Raffy,” Nay Lolit wrote.
Nay Lolit further revealed that rumors about the supposed breakdown of negotiations on the transfer of Julius due to his talent fee are not true.
“At least hindi pala tutoo iyon una kumalat na muntik hindi matuloy ang negotiation dahil sa TF ni Julius Babao. At least naayos kaya heto na siya, mapapanuod na sa TV5 kapalit ni Raffy Tulfo,” she further wrote.
The veteran showbiz columnist then expressed her view that the former ABS-CBN news anchor is the best replacement for Raffy.
She also said she would not be surprised if Julius would also try his hand in politics at some later time.
“Hindi ako magtataka kung si Julius naman ang isabak nila sa pulitika next election. Bongga di ba?” Nay Lolit opined.
Lolit Solis is a Pinay talk show host, entertainment news writer, talent manager and showbiz columnist. She was born on May 20, 1947 in the city of Manila. According to the veteran columnist, she spent her early life in a poor section of Lardizabal in Sampaloc, Manila. She has made numerous controversial remarks about known celebrities. She was also involved in the infamous 1994 Manila Film Scandal, where she induced several actors and actresses to announce different names as winners.
The veteran showbiz reporter and columnist recently expressed her hopes movie films that joined the Metro Manila Film Festival this year will earn some money. She said that if more people won’t go to movies anymore, time will come movie producers will cease to bankroll movie projects. She then lamented the penchant of many today to use their phones or cable TVs when watching entertainment. Nay Lolit said that if these things keep on happening, many would lose their jobs.
She also revealed in a social media post that the food packs and assistance that Kris Aquino gave to victims of super typhoon Odette came from her own pocket. Nay Lolit also expressed belief that Kris may have opted to spend less on Christmas gifts so she could add more to the help she extended to the typhoon victims. The veteran columnist then gave her two cents on what everyone should do this Christmas season. She appealed for everyone to share what they can in order for them to make this country a “place of happiness” for all.
