“One day, while I was baking cookies for @bekind.ph and listening to some music, a song came on that triggered me and caused me to break down crying on the kitchen floor. I remember this so vividly as I was in the middle of washing dishes after baking the last batch of cookies. I tried my best to cry as quietly as I could because I knew that my brother was just in the other room.”

According to the 34-year-old-actress, she did not want her brother, Frank, to worry about her which is why she continued on with her activities.

“At this point in my life, I understand that crying is very healthy for us to do as it is a sacred act of cleansing the soul. I always welcome my tears whenever they come which is why I didn’t want @fmam to worry about me. Half an hour after I picked myself up off the floor, wiped my tears and continued washing the dishes.”

However, Maxene revealed that Frank still heard her cry and instead of asking why she was crying, he offered to grab some coffee and take a walk outside the house.

The actress thanked her brother for his kind gesture and even called him a “#KindKababayan” in her viral post.

“I told him I was okay and that I just needed to release a painful emotion. He didn’t ask me why I was crying or what I was going through—all he did was ask if I wanted to grab some coffee and take a walk with him outside. And so that’s what we did. We walked, we talked and we remembered that life can always be beautiful with a little bit of love and kindness. Thank you for your kind love and energy, bruv @fmam! Thank you for being a #KindKababayan.”
