The veteran actress made the reminder during the September 29 episode of KALURKS! on GTV, where she addressed the reactions surrounding the case and cautioned the public against making quick judgments based on information circulating online.

Gladys said that people who are not directly involved in the dispute cannot know everything that happened between the parties. She consequently urged social media users to be particularly careful when making negative comments about either Kim or Lakam.

“Hinay-hinay lang po sa mga nagko-comment kasi wala naman po tayo do’n. Hindi natin alam ang buong pangyayari talaga. Kaya hinay-hinay lang po kung mayro’n mang bumabatikos kay Kim o kay Lakam. Please, magdahan-dahan po tayo.”

The actress’ statement came after Lakam, 45, was arrested by Quezon City police in Barangay Wack Wack in Mandaluyong City. The arrest was made in connection with an alleged qualified theft case involving 124 counts.

A warrant of arrest had been issued against Lakam by the Quezon City Regional Trial Court Branch 84. She was subsequently released after posting bail, allowing her to remain outside detention while the legal proceedings continue.

The case traces back to a criminal complaint filed by Kim in December. The complaint reportedly stemmed from the discovery of alleged financial discrepancies associated with their business.

The circumstances surrounding the dispute have attracted considerable attention, particularly because the people involved are sisters. Kim and Lakam are members of the same family, making the legal conflict a particularly sensitive subject for the public and their respective supporters.

However, the allegations remain matters for the courts to resolve. The filing of a complaint, the issuance of a warrant and the subsequent proceedings do not by themselves establish the ultimate outcome of the case. The claims raised by the parties will have to be evaluated through the appropriate legal process.

The arraignment has already been concluded, and the case is expected to proceed through the court system. Kim’s legal team has indicated that it intends to continue pursuing the cases while being mindful of restrictions imposed by the sub judice rule.

As a result, the legal teams involved are expected to allow the judicial process to take its course rather than settle the dispute through public exchanges or social media discussions.

This is also consistent with the broader point raised by Gladys during KALURKS!, as members of the public are not privy to every detail of the dispute. She specifically mentioned both sisters, asking those criticizing Kim or Lakam to think carefully before posting their opinions.

The case has generated public interest not only because of the allegations involved but also because of the relationship between the parties. Lakam is Kim’s elder sister, making the dispute a family matter in addition to being a legal proceeding.
