Melai Cantiveros celebrated a proud family milestone as her eldest daughter with Jason Francisco, Mela Francisco, officially graduated from elementary school and is now set to enter high school.

Along with a carousel of photos and clips from Mela’s commencement exercises, Melai expressed her gratitude to God and congratulated her daughter and their family.

She wrote, “Thank you Lord. Dalaygon ka kanunay Ginoo. Congratulations to the us and to our Ate Mela (Thank you, Lord. May You always be praised, God. Congratulations to us and to our Ate Mela).”

Melai then shared that their family is about to welcome a new chapter as Mela enters high school, writing, “Naa nagyud mi High School Pohon kaloy-an sa Ginoo (We’re finally going to have a high school student soon, God willing).”

Reflecting on the emotional experience of seeing her daughter graduate, Melai added, “Ing-ani diay ang feeling sa mga ginikanan na mag-Graduate ang anak mura pod kag niGraduate (So this is what it feels like for parents when their child graduates—it feels like you graduated too)."

Melai Cantiveros is a popular Filipina actress, TV host, and comedian. She rose to fame in 2009 after winning Pinoy Big Brother: Double Up. Her entertaining personality, natural comedic talent, and charisma made her a favorite among viewers while inside Kuya’s House. After winning, Melai entered showbiz and became successful as both a comedian and television host. In her personal life, she married Jason Francisco. The couple is popularly known as "MelaSon," and they have two daughters together.

Melai previously revealed that she and Jason Francisco went through a nearly six-month separation, a difficult period they deliberately kept away from the public eye. She opened up about their relationship during the premiere episode of “Hello Outside World,” where she appeared alongside Bianca Gonzalez and Esnyr. Despite the challenges they faced, the couple eventually found their way back to each other while watching a movie with their child. They ultimately decided to reconcile and give their marriage another chance.

Earlier, Ai-Ai delas Alas praised Melai after they unexpectedly crossed paths at Shangri-La Mall, where Melai was spending time with her family. Ai-Ai expressed her admiration for Melai’s kindness, humility, and respectful personality, while also sharing how happy she was to see Jason again. Melai later thanked Ai-Ai for her warm words and said she was likewise happy to finally meet the veteran actress in person. She also shared that Jason was glad to reconnect with Ai-Ai, especially since they had not seen each other for a long time.
