Mikee Quintos shared her thoughts on celibacy before marriage, saying she respects those who choose to remain celibate and views it as a meaningful gift to give to a future spouse.

During her interview on "Fast Talk with Boy Abunda" on Wednesday, August 26, Mikee was asked about the topic, which is also tackled in her upcoming movie "Saving Cherry." She said she believes the choice requires considerable strength and self-control, particularly when it comes to resisting temptation.
"Of course. It takes a lot of strength. A lot. Like self-control na hindi mahulog sa temptation, and believe ako sa mga ganun. Siyempre I respect that fully. Ang tingin ko that's so pure and it's such a good gift to give to your husband."
Boy then asked Mikee directly if she could practice celibacy herself. The actress-singer responded candidly, saying she believes she could do it if she truly wanted to, before adding a playful reference to Selena Gomez.

"Honestly, Tito, alam ko sa sarili ko pag ginusto ko, kaya ko. I will quote Selina Gomez, 'I mean I could but why would I want to.' I'm kidding, I'm kidding."
