“Unang-una ma'am Susan, si Benjie, Benjie Paras, talagang ano yan. Si Long, tapos si Senator Manny Pacquiao, tumutulong din sa akin.”

Dagul then explained that he only reaches out when he is facing particularly difficult circumstances and feels that he has run out of options. He emphasized that he does not want to make his friends responsible for all of his needs or repeatedly ask them for assistance.

“'Pag hinihingian ko ng tulong, tutulong kaagad yan at saka hindi ko naman Ma'am Susan inaabuso 'yung pagkaibigan namin. Na hingi ako nang hingi, na isandal ko yung lahat na pangangailangan namin. Hindi naman po.”

He said that there are times, however, when his situation becomes difficult enough that he has no choice but to seek help. Dagul described these moments as situations when he feels he has exhausted his options and needs to turn to someone he trusts.

Dagul was discovered by singer and host Randy Santiago, who also gave him the name “Dagul,” a term that commonly refers to someone who is tall or big, in contrast to his short stature. He was previously seen in the comedy sitcom “Kool Ka Lang” and later became a mainstay of the children's sketch comedy show “Goin' Bulilit.”

In the same interview, Dagul gave an update on his health following multiple hospitalizations last year due to pneumonia and sleep apnea. He now uses a wheelchair because of knee problems and difficulty walking, while his kidney continues to be monitored. He also has a cataract in his left eye, but surgery has been delayed due to further heart tests, financial concerns, and anesthesia risks.

A few years ago, Dagul became emotional in Bernadette Sembrano’s vlog as he appealed to producers and fellow artists for support. He hoped they could help his son, Jkhriez Pastrana, pursue a career in showbiz as he felt his own career was gradually slowing down. Dagul also shared that he is happy whenever people still ask about him and what he has been doing.
