Dagul, may mensahe para kay Julia Montes at iba pang nakatrabaho sa ‘Goin' Bulilit’

Dagul, whose real name is Romeo “Romy” Queddeng Pastrana, has appealed to his former colleagues from “Goin’ Bulilit,” including Julia Montes, to consider giving him opportunities to work as he seeks projects to support his family.

In his recent guesting on “Kay Susan Tayo! Vlogs,” hosted by Susan Enriquez, Dagul was asked if he had a message for the people he had worked with in the past.

Dagul acknowledged that many of his former co-stars have gone on to become successful personalities in show business. He then expressed his hope that they would remember him and consider helping him if they have opportunities available.

He specifically mentioned Julia Montes, whom he identified as one of the former colleagues he hopes might be able to help him.

“Sa Goin’ Bulilit, alam ko naman talaga na marami sa inyo na sumikat. Sana mapansin niyo ako kung may maitulong kayo, project man. Tulad kay ano, kay Julia, Julia Montes. Ayan yan talaga kung gusto niyang tulungan ako. Sana mapanood mo yung vlog ni Ma'am Susan. Sasabihin ko na, kailangan ko ang tulong niyo.”

Dagul’s appeal was not limited to Julia. He also addressed other personalities who have become successful and may be looking for actors or performers for their projects.

He said he would be willing to accept even small roles if it meant having an opportunity to work again. Dagul stressed that he would take on whatever role was offered to him, even if he were only needed for a minor part of a production.

“Yung mga sumisikat diyan na kailangan ako sa show niyo, kahit palamuti lang tanggapin ko yan. Kahit ano, anong role para lang sa pamilya ko.”

Dagul was discovered by singer and host Randy Santiago, who also gave him the name “Dagul,” a term that commonly refers to someone who is tall or big, in contrast to his short stature. He was previously seen in the comedy sitcom “Kool Ka Lang” and later became a mainstay of the children's sketch comedy show “Goin' Bulilit.”

In the same interview, Dagul shared updates on his health after several hospitalizations last year for pneumonia and sleep apnea. He currently uses a wheelchair because of knee problems and difficulty walking, while his kidney is also being monitored. He also revealed having a cataract in his left eye, but surgery remains pending due to heart tests, financial concerns, and anesthesia risks. He is now recovering at home as his condition improves.

A few years ago, Dagul became emotional during Bernadette Sembrano’s vlog as he appealed to producers and fellow artists for support. He hoped they could help his son, Jkhriez Pastrana, pursue his dream of entering showbiz, especially as Dagul felt his own career was gradually slowing down. He also shared that he feels happy whenever people continue to ask about him and his activities.
