Comedian Dagul, whose real name is Romeo “Romy” Queddeng Pastrana, became emotional as he appealed for help in finding work and securing a project following his hospitalization.

During his interview on “Kay Susan Tayo! Vlogs,” hosted by Susan Enriquez, Dagul opened up about his desire to return to work and his continued hope of receiving opportunities in the entertainment industry.
He expressed his wish to have a project that would allow him to work again.

Dagul also shared how he continues to rely on prayer while hoping for a new opportunity. He said he has been asking for blessings and for someone to extend a helping hand to him and his family.
“So sabi ko, ‘Sana Lord,’ ‘yung pinakasandata ko, magdasal. Sabi ko, ‘Lord, tulungan mo naman kami na sana may darating na biyaya o trabaho. Kung sino man ang mahipo mo, matulungan kami. Sana gano'n ang mangyari.”
His emotional appeal comes after his recent health struggles and hospitalization, which have affected his ability to remain active in showbiz. Dagul previously shared that he had been going back and forth to the hospital because of pneumonia and sleep apnea, while his kidney was also being monitored.
His health concerns have also affected his mobility. Dagul is currently using a wheelchair because of problems with his knees that have made it difficult for him to walk long distances.
Despite these challenges, Dagul continues to express his desire to work and remain active in the industry. His latest appeal reflects his hope that another opportunity will come his way as he works on his recovery.
Dagul was discovered by singer and host Randy Santiago, who also gave him the name “Dagul,” a term that commonly refers to someone who is tall or big, in contrast to his short stature. He was previously seen in the comedy sitcom “Kool Ka Lang” and later became a mainstay of the children's sketch comedy show “Goin' Bulilit.”
Dagul became emotional in a vlog by Bernadette Sembrano as he appealed to producers and fellow artists for support. He expressed his hope that they could help his son, Jkhriez Pastrana, fulfill his dream of pursuing a career in showbiz, especially as Dagul feels that his own career is gradually slowing down. He also shared that it brings him joy whenever he sees people asking about him and what he has been doing.
In his interview with Aster Amoyo, Dagul recalled Benjie Paras as one of the friends who has remained important to him. He shared that he reaches out to Benjie during difficult times when he has nothing, and that his friend is always willing to lend a helping hand. Dagul also described Benjie as someone whose big heart matches his stature.
