The lighthearted exchange eventually led to a more serious discussion later in the interview, when Tito Boy asked Yayo to explain why she has been open about no longer believing in marriage.
Drawing from her own life experiences, Yayo clarified that her perspective was shaped by what she had gone through over the years.
“Because of my experience.”
She immediately emphasized that she was not speaking negatively about her past, but rather expressing what she believes works best for her at this stage in life.
“Hindi ko sinasabing hindi maganda 'yung experience ko, Tito Boy. Pero para sa'kin pwede ka naman maging masaya with your partner kahit na hindi na kayo ikasal.”
Her response reflected a belief that a committed and fulfilling relationship does not necessarily require marriage. Instead, she suggested that happiness can still be achieved through a loving partnership, regardless of whether a couple decides to tie the knot.
While she acknowledged her past, she made it clear that her stance is not meant to discourage others from getting married but simply reflects what she now believes is best for herself.
