BB recalled that she had actively campaigned for Sen. Kiko during one of his previous election bids because of her friendship with Sharon. She also shared that she vividly remembered something the actress had repeatedly said during campaign sorties, which, according to BB, left a lasting impression on her.
Recalling those moments, BB said, "O ano kasi, I campaigned for Kiko way back, noong una siyang tumakbo and I campaigned for him kasi si Sharon ang kaibigan ko. And then I remember during that campaign sinasabi ni Sharon on stage na, 'Ito ho kinakampanya namin ng asawa ko, 'pag pumalpak po ito sabihin ninyo sa amin at iiwan ko po ito, pupunta na ako ng Australia.' Yan ang sinasabi niya. Tumatak sa isip ko 'yon na okay, I think we have to maintain our integrity as far as 'yung ipinapangako natin sa tao eh. Dumating sa punto na dito nga sa usapin na to, 'yung sa mga bata, na parang hindi ko naiintindihan bakit hindi naiintindihan ni Senator Kiko."

Boy then asked whether BB's public appeal had anything to do with her personal relationship with Sharon.
In response, BB emphasized that her position was based solely on the issue being discussed and not on any personal conflict.
"Nothing personal at all. Kaya lang sabi ko nga kay Sharon, 'Kaso kung ganyan, aba'y ibinabawi ko na yung suporta ko.' Baka may mga nakakaalala pa noon."
Boy followed up by asking whether BB and Sharon had already spoken to each other after the public appeal.
BB revealed that they had not yet had the opportunity to communicate.
"Hindi pa."
Boy then reiterated that the matter was about the proposal being debated and not about their personal relationship. BB agreed and explained that since she had publicly campaigned for Sen. Kiko in the past, she also believed it was appropriate to publicly withdraw that support because of his position on the issue.
"Ito lang, na kung ganito ang paninindigan ng asawa mo, I don't think I can support you any longer. And I'm taking it back kasi nagkampanya ako in public, so I will also take it back in public."
BB's remarks came after she previously made a public appeal to Sen. Kiko amid discussions on lowering the age of criminal responsibility. At the time, she defended the proposal of her brother, Sen. Robin Padilla, regarding the measure and questioned Sen. Kiko's stance on the issue.
