Charry Dasovich, the mother of content creator Wil Dasovich, recently gave followers another honest update on her long and difficult recovery after undergoing major spinal surgery in 2024.

Through a social media post accompanied by photos documenting her healing journey, Charry shared both the small victories and the ongoing physical challenges she continues to face months after the operation.
She happily revealed that she has begun regaining some mobility, celebrating milestones that many people often take for granted.
“Healing is happening — slowly, dramatically, at its own pace, I’ve conquered the 16 steps stairs in our home like a debutant, I patrol the house like a tiny landlord doing inspections, and I’ve even watered the garden — as long the hose is handed to me like I’m a surgeon and it’s a scalpel. Stitches are out and looking good, I will alarm less in the airport now.”

Despite these encouraging improvements, Charry admitted that the recovery process remains extremely painful.
According to her, spinal surgery has proven to be one of the most physically demanding experiences she has ever endured.
“Spine surgery is, in fact, the mother of all pain — a title it earns daily and refuses to go away. And just when I thought I’d graduated to ‘regular discomfort,’ my hips decided to join the party with bursitis: sharp, blunt, stabbing, throbbing basically every flavor of pain except the fun kind.”
She also shared that she recently sought additional medical attention after developing bursitis in both hips.
Initially, an urgent care facility advised her to increase her pain medication. However, she was later able to secure an appointment with an orthopedic specialist, who administered cortisone injections in both hips.
“Urgent care just told me to increase Tylenol and Ibuprofen. Thankfully the Ortho clinic gave me the next day appointment and today I got cortisone shots in both hips. Now I wait, like a woman expecting fireworks, except the fireworks are ‘please stop hurting.’”
Even amid the physical pain, Charry found comfort in the simple joys around her.
She fondly shared that her daughter’s cat has faithfully visited her every day throughout her recovery.
“Haley’s cat visits every single day without fail — more reliable than most adults I know, 😹and sure is better company. I’m so zen every time.”
Because she remains largely confined to bed, Charry said she has spent much of her time reading the messages and comments sent by supporters.
“I’m mostly bed-bound, which means I’ve had nothing to do but read every comment, message, and act of kindness — and there have been so many.
Deep gratitude to you that wish me well, you know who you are!”
Her candid update quickly drew an outpouring of support from netizens, many of whom admired her resilience and positive outlook despite the difficult recovery process.
